…in an art studio over a decade ago. Our dad had been painting for years, and in the corner of his studio was a graveyard of sorts where old artist palettes were put to rest. Some were heavy or awkward to hold, causing pain in the hand, thumb, and wrist; others were just poorly made. The answer for him involved a trip to the lumber yard and a free afternoon.
With our combined efforts new shapes were created and old shapes were refined around the original three point design, with emphasis on comfort, quality and functionality.
New Wave is growing under the supervision of two brothers that spend entirely too much time together. We think different, we act different, even our hair color is different, and it works. We are connected by an affinity for creating products that are functional, simply designed, and well made.
